Secondary

Secondary (11-16)

A British Curriculum. Montessori values.

What we offer

British curriculum, Montessori values.

Secondary balances academic challenge with care and respect for the adolescent journey—building independence, responsibility, and resilience in a close-knit community.

Students work toward International GCSEs (IGCSE) and the Spanish ESO in small classes taught by subject specialists, while developing independence, critical thinking, and a strong sense of belonging.

    What Students Learn in Secondary

The Secondary years combine academic rigour with personal growth:

    • IGCSE & ESO Qualifications – students follow the British curriculum and prepare for the internationally recognised IGCSEs alongside the Spanish ESO.

    • Core Subjects & Options – English, Mathematics, Sciences, Spanish, Catalan, Global Perspectives, History, Arts, Drama, Music, German, and Business Studies.

    • Global Citizenship – debate, Model United Nations, and community projects help students think critically and act responsibly as world citizens.

    • Personal Growth – supported by our W.I.S.E. Centre, students receive personalised guidance for academic, emotional, and social needs. With the school just steps from the train station, where many secondary students already commute confidently on their own.

    • Creative Arts & Sports – music, theatre, visual arts, and physical education balance academic study with creativity and wellbeing.

    Global Citizenship & MMUN

Young diplomats in action. Through Global Perspectives, debate, and the Montessori Model United Nations (MMUN), students learn to think critically and act responsibly as world citizens.

    • Real UN roles – each student represents a country and committee.

    • Research & position papers – clear writing, evidence, and point of view.

    • Debate & resolution-building – respectful dialogue, compromise, and leadership.

    • International conferences in Rome and New York– unforgettable experiences that build confidence and purpose.

    A Safe & Supportive Environment

Our W.I.S.E. Centre (Wellbeing, Inclusion & Safeguarding for Education) ensures every learner is seen and supported.

    • Personalised plans and targeted interventions.

    • SEN and EAL support, plus counselling for emotional wellbeing.

    • Daily tutor time and PSHE for organisation, friendships, and healthy choices.

    • Close partnership with families.

    Where It Leads

After Year 11, students progress to A-Levels, the IB Diploma, or Spanish Bachillerato—qualifications recognised by universities in Spain, Europe, and worldwide.

    • Dual recognition: IGCSEs plus the Spanish ESO keep doors open locally and internationally.

    • Many next-step options: Continue with A-Levels, the IB Diploma, or Spanish Bachillerato on Mallorca, elsewhere in Spain, or abroad.
