A school in a windmill

The Montessori School of Mallorca is placed in an old windmill on an estate of 3,000 square meters on the outskirts of Santa Maria del Cami, a town of 6,000 inhabitants in the centre of the Spanish island of Mallorca.

Our mill, ‘El Molí de Son Gulla,’ was built over 400 years ago and is full of history.

Spacious classrooms

The classrooms are located in the main building and separate, purpose-built classrooms in the garden of the estate.

Our classrooms are large, open-feeling spaces, with low shelves, different sizes of tables that comfortably seat one to four children. Chairs that are appropriately sized for the children in the classroom.

Close to nature

The school is a place very close to nature, where our kids can feed their curiosity about the world around them.

Our extensive outdoor area offers a variety of plants and trees, including lemon, orange, pomegranate, plum, and olive trees. There is plenty of space for children to play, discover, experiment, and learn.

The school is located in a residential area bordering agricultural farms, so kids can enjoy a healthy and rural environment.

Prepared environment

Montessori learning environments are prepared to enable infants, children and young people to learn through their own activity.

As much freedom and independence as possible is given for their age and stage, a level of freedom matched to their ability to regulate and discipline themselves.

In the Montessori view the development of infants, children and young people is stimulated by action, and interaction, within their environment. What is offered in the environment will, thus, largely determine how children develop intellectually, emotionally and spiritually.

The Montessori School of Mallorca is a private, international school on the island of Mallorca, Spain. It offers quality primary and secondary education for children from 3 to 16 years. The school is set in a beautiful setting at the outskirts of Santa Maria del Cami close to Palma de Mallorca. We follow the English national curriculum and a Montessori curriculum.

School fees 2024/2025

Deposit, enrolment and annual registration

For students that enrol for the first time, we require a deposit of €1,500 per child at the time of enrolment; the deposit will be refunded once your child leaves the school. Further, there is a one-time enrolment fee of €900 (non-refundable) and €720 with a sibling discount
For families with multiple siblings, the Montessori School of Mallorca offers a discount of 5% on tuition fees for the second sibling and a 7% discount on fees for a third and subsequent sibling/s. The discount is applied to the second and subsequent siblings in the order of birth.
